Island Pond Wood 10th Anniversary September 19th 2009
On a beautifully warm September day, the celebrations for the 10th Anniversary
of Launton's Island Pond Wood took
place.

A walk round the wood was followed by short speeches in
the Parish Hall. Displays of its history gave a great insight to this village resource.
The
'Man from Laings' who actually negotiated the sale of the land was there, as was the vicar, and many other villagers
involved in this project.
