Auction February 1996
On 16th February 1996 an auction was held at the Parish Hall in aid of the Friends of Launton School.
One of the lots was a signed Blue Peter Annual, and a copy of this video, featuring John Noakes with the
Annual, and wishing the event a success.

Launton Canathon 1997
On a sunny Saturday in mid March 1997, the Launton Canathon took place.
With drinks cans collected over the previous 3 months at Launton School, and stored at a local farm, teams
took turns to see how many cans they could crush in a given time.
The noise of the day was awesome, and one or two crushed thumbs later, all cans were crushed, and ready
for recycling.
Funds were raised for the school and a great time was had by all...
